In an effort to support association environmental projects and local businesses, the MLPOA executive has combined with Country Rose Garden Centre (Haliburton) to offer the purchase of Native Plant Species to members, at a reduced cost of 15%, to help re-naturalize shoreline around Moore, East Moore and the Gull River. Below are documents describing the plants and the other indicating the cost of each plant/shrub. The plants selected will help reduce erosion, attract pollinators and other riparian zone organisms, and add colour and fragrance to the shoreline.
Country Rose will process the orders through their suppliers and the plants will be delivered to a central location near Moore Falls, for members to pick up, on the Saturday after the May long weekend (Sat May 29 2021 - tentative).
Here is what you need to do:
1. Review the plants species and select the number and type of plant you wish to purchase
2. Call Country Rose (Kim): 705-457-3774 or 1-800-420-8076 with your order - indicate your name, cottage address, email address and your MLPOA affiliation
3. Provide payment details
The deadline for you to order is Tuesday Dec 1 2020
I will connect with all members who purchased plants a couple of weeks prior to the delivery date with pick up details.
I know that it is early to think of spring planting, but the time is required by Country Rose to insure plants can be acquired from their suppliers.
It is the executives' hope that this offer is well received by the membership and that as property owners we are doing our utmost to re-establish the natural plant life at our shorelines.
