Spring 2024 Water Testing Report
Here are the latest water test results. There had been a lot of rain, so the numbers are likely higher than usual. Still, the ecoli levels are well below 100 which is the safe level for swimming. Remember that zero is needed for drinking.
Note the high levels of coliform below the Trailor Park and lessor, but still high at Elliot Falls.
Phosphorous levels are where they typically are but note we should be looking at these levels from a target value of 0.01 instead of 0.02. Latter is the provincial guideline but professionals suggest the lower number is more appropriate to deter algae growth.
Spring 2023 - Water Testing Results
Lake Stewart’s Report - by Anton Davies, Water Stewart MLPOA
Here are the results of our spring sampling efforts.
Total coliform levels seem higher than usual but E. coli levels are good and at usual levels everywhere except downstream of the trailer park. 46 is roughly half the allowable level for swimming. However, you should ensure that your filtration and disinfection systems are operating at peak form for drinking as the E.Coli levels must be zero.
Water Testing Results Aug 2022
Lake Steward’s Report - by Anton Davies, Water Stewart MLPOA
Below you will see the latest water test results. Note that the waters around the Black Creek Outlet
and at Elliott Falls have higher levels of E.Coli than usual. This may be the result of runoff associated
with the heavy rain fall we have been experiencing. These results are still within the guidelines for
swimming. However, you should ensure that your filtration and disinfection systems are operating at
peak form for drinking as the E.Coli levels must be zero.
